Mission
To remember, honor, and recreate the storied history of the 4th Regiment of Regular United States Cavalry, from 1855 thru 1890, by use of battle reenactments, living history, parades, public displays, and school demos.

A living history/reenactment group with an interest in the history of the United States Cavalry, focused on the period of the American Civil War, with additional periods including the Indian Wars 1850s-1880s. Operating out of eastern Nebraska, membership is spread throughout eastern Nebraska, western Iowa, and northern Missouri. The Indian Wars period is operated out of Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park, located near Burwell, NE and maintained by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Description
Non-profit, non-political living history organization of dedicated historians, history buffs, reenactors, and civilians. Non racial, non gender specific. Follows current rules and regulations regarding Civil War reenacting and living history. Members or associates of regional organizations including but not limited to: Mid-West Civil War Reenactors Assocation (MWCWRA), Missouri Civil War Association (MCWA), and the Union Muddy River Battalion.

The 4th U.S. Cavalry is the cavalry arm of the Fremont Pathfinders, a large Civil War reenactment organization based out of eastern Nebraska. The Fremont Pathfinders also provides displays and reenactors portraying infantry, artillery, medical, signal corps, quartermaster, commissary, blacksmithing, and naval, from the periods roughly 1840-1880 (Mexican War, Civil War, Indian Wars).
