Haversack:
As pictured in Lords Civil War Collectors Encyclopedia, Volume I, page 120. A large single pocket, 12'' wide, and 11 1/2" deep, with a 2 1/2gusset, complements the roomy pocket made into the front flap. The back panel also has an inside pocket. Fine quality leather, brass hardware. Three-part brass Union Eagle buttons on front flap pocket. In Black Leather Only.

Sabretasche:
Sabretasche Haversack From the German Sabel, a saber, and Tasche, a pocket. The sabretasche, is a large leather pouch. It was used by cavalry or staff officers to carry maps and papers. The cowhide sabretasche measures 9" wide at the bottom, 10" tall with a 2½" gusset. Button stud brass flap closure. Adjustable long strap with roller buckle, as on the originals. Decorative white stitching around edges of front flap and shoulder strap.
