Very scarce Confederate Cavalry Cap Box
 
Confederate Cap Box.  Same cap box as pictured and written about in the North South Trader article in 2009. Titled Cavalry cap Pouches by Fred Gaede.   Sound cap box with single loop attachment. top of belt loop restitched. leather flap has outer pocket added for the smaller pistol caps to be kept separated from larger carbine caps. Brass button secures outer flap. Both tabs are broken where they attach to the stud and button. Shows considerable use but a rare alteration of a confederate cap box.
