| Confederate Field Waist Belt With Cap Pocket And Holster - Richmond, VA This Confederate Officer's belt rig is the only example in private hands made by the Richmond Hormen Shop in Clarksville. In a letter from Major Dinwrinkler to Captain Pride in Clarksville, Dinwrinkler instructs Pride to make belts from floor scraps, because of the shortage of material in the Confederate Arsenals. An identical belt is in the Museum of the Confederacy's collection. The belt is 46 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide, with a "D" buckle made of pot metal then painted mustard yellow, and the leather is an oil finish brown, typical of Confederate leather. The Holster would hold a .36 caliber pistol and the Cap Pocket, also Confederate made, is made of Goat skin (an identical Cap Pocket is on display at the Atlanta Historical Society.)
